Hargreaves NOT included in United's European squad

As news emerged today that Hargreaves is to be left out of our 25 man squad for the European Cup knock-out phases - after it was suggested only yesterday that he is finally close to a return - are we to now accept that it's all over for him?

Will he ever realistically be able to play football again...?
