United > England. But England > FIFA.

If you’ve been following me on Twitter this week (...of course you have...) you will have noticed my shockingly hyper-levels of dissapointment towards England not winning the 2018 World Cup bid. And if you follow my blog, you will understand what I mean by 'shockingly hyper-levels of dissapointment'! I make no secret of the fact that I'm not an England fan. Like many other true reds - and true football fans of any club for that matter - I am 100% a club over country supporter. But unlike many United fans, it may suprise people to know that I played my part in 'Backing the Bid'. I worked with sports publishing company Seven46 , content providers for the Bid (speaches, Bid Book etc), for four months over the summer. Shhhhhh...! Wazza and Bebe Shine on International Duty

Ahh the football international. A time where the worlds greats can showcase their talent by proudly representing their countries and putting their bitter club feuds aside as they line up alongside their rivals. Poetic, aint it? Me personally, I see the international break as a nuisance. An opportunity for the country to get carried away with unjustified levels of hysteria (with the tabloid press, as always, leading the way) only for England to play their continually flaccid brand of football against whatever random European team they have been drawn against this time. Add to that my obsession with United, I also find it increasingly acts as an inevitable opportunity for our star player to get themselves injured and miss a hefty slot of the season; either that or they have such a shitter that the poor display and subsequent pathetically over-hyped national response ignites their sudden and timely loss of form.
