Another famous Wolves defeat...

January 17th, 2004.

With over half the season gone, we went to Molineux as the team top of the league facing - yep, that's right - bottom of the table Wolves.

It was Rio Ferdinand's last game before his eight month ban.

He limps off injured in the 50th minute.

On 66 minutes, Kenny Miller scores...

1-0

A famous win for Wolves that shakes United, who go on to lose five and draw four of their remaining 16 games.

Arsenal win the title. Going all season unbeaten!

...we finish third and don't win the title again until 2007.

  1. Jaysus mate. Chin up, my Old Cockney Sparra.
None of us are feeling great mate,it was a shocker, we are all numb, our bubble has been, pricked.
I have avoided writing anywhere, about it just like self flagellation.Which I have done, around eight times now, having rewatched the match that amount of times(8).Looking for positives which there are none.Lets just hope it was a blip, although I suspect not.We shall get a more measured barometer, on saturday against City.Win that, and we will all be as high as kites again.
I am not trying to be a smart arse, but we were commenting on Truly Reds on Friday evening prior to the match, I thought we might just scrape through, although I recognised it was going to be a bugger to win it.
On we march, surely the manager will get the players up for the Derby.I think we have not lost twice consecutively, in the league since March 2009, so we need that win, against the Bitters, not only for our own cause, but not to hand them a "mental" boost, for the run-in.
    Good Luck for the Derby.

Ps stay away from sharp instruments, and no neck ties!
