VIEW: United vs West Brom (a). 2-1
Hernandez's 8th goal of the season on 75 minutes gives United our second away win of the season.
Good.
It's that time again...Chico time! Yep, that's right, the little Mexican green garden vegetable, who I'm sure you've noticed has been out of the limelight for a while now as Fergie insists upon partnering Rooney with Berbs (as an adamant show of faith rather than a favouring of form), once again did his best Ole impression and saved our arses again.
Wazza's off the mark. SAF probably took it a bit too far and in the process fooled noone by calling Rooney's performance 'world class' against West Brom, but at least he's finally decided the right thing to do after moaning his way into a new contract is to actually start hitting the net. I somehow can't see him repeating 26 league goals this season (with only two goals in 11 league appearances so far), but it's a start.
Still unbeaten - and still capitalising on the bad results of others. On the 28th, it was Arsenal who f**cked it up by not taking their chance to close the gap as we dropped points to Birmingham City. However on our second trip to the Midlands in the space of four days, we we'rent going to make the same mistake. A win is a win - especially when you're top with two games in hand - but a win is even better when your rivals don't do so. So who was it this time? Surely not 'the best team in the land' Chelsea?? But even with the undying, unrivalled loyalty of their proud, British Bulldog, bleeds Chelsea blue leader 'JT'?

Happy New Year you c**nts. Best of luck in your push for a Champions League place.
Bad.
Obertan. Just plain shit, I'm afraid. After his involvement in our opening goal - as early as the third minute - he decided to completely switch off. Out of position and losing the ball as casually as a Berbatov track-back. I'm all for winning ugly, but thanks largely to our liability of a midfielder, he left us massively exposed in the centre of the park, and the sooner we have our wingers back from injury (Nani, Giggs and Valencia) and International duty (Park), the sooner we'll be able to repeat those convincing, impressive victories that we have't seen since the Blackburn demolition.
Kuszczsk and Neville. I'm clumping the two together in a single point because that's how I don't respect wither of them enough after Saturday to grant them their own space! Right, Mr. Kuszczsk. From the first minute he couldn't not piss me off: his decision making, awful kicking and even inability to dive the correct way for Odemwingie's ridiculous penalty annoyed me! This was a classic case of a 'keeper who's performance - if you failed to really look at it - was completely overlooked and deemed 'not too bad' because of how well the defence in front of him did. Well, except for 47 year old Gary Neville. Should have been put out his misery in the first-half when he took out Dorrans in the box. West Brom fans and fat, Scouse-supporting commentators will claim that the fact he wasn't sent off changed the match. We'll argue that he was really more a hindrance than a help. So there.
Controversy. I hate hate hate it when a United victory is ruled out as nothing more than a bit of help from whichever referee is this time sucking off Sir Alex. Of course everyone who knows anything about football knows that United win games because we're better (and of course, 'we do what we want!'), but Foy's inability to award WBA a pen in the first-half and in turn send Gazza off became the main talking point. Regardless of the fact that the admittedly awful decision was levelled out twice; firstly as they were eventually given a penalty from Rio's first foul of the season (!) and then later when Jerome Thomas blatantly handled Fabio's cross in the box but was not penalised. But according to the embarrassment that is Arsenal's 3rd choice 'keeper Wojciech Szczesny, 'the decition (sic) was shocking!' even though his Arsenal team scored their first goal against Birmingham after van Persie dived. Firstly, remove your Wenger inspired 'I didn't see that' goggles, then learn how to spell. Fucking spaz.
Player Ratings.
Kuszczak 4; Neville 4, Ferdinand 8, Vidic 7, Evra 6; Fletcher 6, Anderson 6, Carrick 7, Obertan 4; Rooney 7, Berbatov 6.
It wasnt levelled out, because if the player had been sent off when he blatantly last man fouled the albion forward then the game would have turned dramatically. Oh and dont be handicappist
