VIEW: United vs Villa (a). 1-1
What's left to say about this game? We dropped points but it's ok cos Chelsea lost and we done well seeing as we played with 10 men for most of it...? Well, seeing as that about wraps it up, I thought I might as well at least break down the sequence of last nights events.
Nani start his 4th in a row (first time ever for United).
Still no Vidic though.
They come out with confidence; knowing this would be the first time they have done the double over us for over 50 years.
Deservedly, Villa get the lead on 19 minutes; with a solid, well placed header by Cuellar.
We respond perfectly, netting only four minutes later. Out of the 6 goals we’ve scored in the last two games, 4 have been o.g’s, now making o.g our second top scorer on 10.
Nani’s off with over a third of the game left. Our ‘other’ player of the moment makes a shocking challenge – in real time – that is annoyingly revealed after a reply to show him getting the ball. Having said that, it’s undoubtedly red.
The other game that carries a modicum of importance (well, kind of) is still 0-0 at the Emirates. Boring.
Louis goes from king to c*nt over in Merseyside, as he levels it…only to then fail to beat Cech from the spot in the last minute of the half.
Go in at half-time with the score the same. With more chances than the home-side to take the lead, it’s hard to tell which team is a man down.
Continue where we left off from in the second. Time to aim for that win…?
Berb’s comes on to strengthen our resolve, but we can’t find the winner.
Actually, the real reason he comes on is because Giggsy's now out for 4 weeks.
It ends 1-1. By far the stronger side. A truly promising, resilient performance that is showing great strength and determination, regardless of our obvious hindrance. A point gained, not 2 points lost.
Once a red ALWAYS a red! Saha get’s his second, skinning Terry for the second time in the game, and
Only 1 point away now…
Oh, and Arsenal beat the Scum 1-0. Amazing that they lost and don’t really care at the moment if Arsenal win…so all in all, a good day at the office.
