Universal empathy for United as the world agree we was ROBBED.
Everyone knows how synonymous LDN is for it's high crime rate, but now even the West - the capital's most prevalent and safe area - has now gained a rep of being dangerous; with a high risk of daylight robbery.
Before any in-denial Chelsea fans claim that this is merely the pathetic view of us 'bitter' United fans; feel free to read a the views of some neutral, intelligent writers who know a thing or two about football:
Henry Winter, 9th November - The Telegraph
(Winter's brilliant account beginning: 'This was such a travesty of justice that Manchester United should follow Chelsea’s recent example and appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.')
Oliver Kay, 9th November - The Times
Patrick Barclay, 9th November - The Times
...And here's RoM collating all the best bits for us:
What do the press make of the robbery at the bridge?
All summed up so perfectly by Mr.Rooney:
Nuff said.
Little bit bitter are we?!
ReplyDeleteEither way you LOST and don't give me any of this "lost with pride", "referee robbed us" malarky.
No matter what the performance you got NO points, you got nothing.
How often do decisions go for and against teams each week, swallow it and get over yourself.
I love the fact that you've got two weeks to stew over it too. I suppose I must brace myself for more these whining Manc fans over the next fortnight.
Anyway, we'll soon find out about this UTD spirit your talking about this season, unfortunately all I see when I look at your team is a bunch of journeymen midfield players, blunt strikers who would struggle to score in a brothel, and defenders who love the treatment table.
GOOD LUCK YOU DEVILS!
Once again I feel inclined to reel off the Stretfod End flag: Our history makes us strong. Your HATE makes us stronger. How many times have ignorant, over-confident oposition fans basked in United's loss-of-form and apparent fall from greatness...only to be embarassed as we are crowned champions yet again? Either way, it'll be an interesting one this season, and in no way are Chelsea gonna run away with it. We're all in it (well...except for Liverpool of course).
ReplyDeleteTrust me mate, it's not hate I feel for you, you're delusional.
ReplyDeleteYou put in a decent performance against chelsea but lost. If you played better than them you would have won. The game is won over 90 minutes and you couldn't hit the back of the net. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't remember cech having to make a good save. All this talk of daylight robbery is ridiculous. Let's see how you do against everton. A convincing win and I may start to believe you.
Wrong I'm afraid on the cech front: Rooney's shot from outside the area, he had to force it out for a corner. And equally VDS only made one save, from Anelka...and I thought Anelka and Drogba were supposed to be unstoppable at the minute? You need to look at the bigger picture mate: the performance for us (seeing as we've been completely average this season) is bigger than the result as we can build on this and continue to improve.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree about our next game. In a way a perfect game to show that we still have genuine potential to win this league (if we turn everton over), but if we play in our usual, unimpressive style then we'll deservedly drop points.
